The project

The 800-year-old Forest

The fundraising campaign for the 800-year-old Forest of the University of Padua ended in 2023, the project for the reforestation of an entire area of about 8 hectares near Monte Zebio, in Asiago, which was severely hit by the Vaia storm. A project in favor of biodiversity, for the creation of a forest resistant and resilient to climate change and future extreme natural events.

Environmental Initiatives

In line with its strategic objectives, the University affirms its role in the process of ecological environmental transition and sustainable development, focusing on the future of the younger generations. It is in this context that the two green projects that the University’s donors are making possible fit in: the Bosco degli 800 anni dell’Università di Padova and the research doctorates to stem the emergency of the bark beetle parasite.
